Recently I was doing some research and I came across some comments about one of my favorite shows Downton Abbey. There was a scene in the show where the kitchen staff was using the Ouija Board. Some of the people were commenting that they felt that they shouldn't watch the show, even though they loved it, because the use of the Ouija Board was against their religion. This got me thinking...
Just be because we don't agree with something or condemn something doesn't mean we should ignore or deny the subject. In order to understand the past we must acknowledge the past and learn from it. If I have books on World War II or the Nazi's on my bookshelf doesn't mean I am a Nazi. To condemn or disagree with something you must at learn about it from all sides. It only strengthens your convictions or perhaps helps you understand why things happen. Our world is made up of different points of view and if we do not accept it and follow a blind point of view then we are doomed. One of my favorite sayings is: "The mind id like a parachute, in order for it to work it must be open". And that is just my thoughts... Thanks for listening!
